Travelling is a passion and it is non ending. Our company formulated in the year 2004 as a secondary establishment, additional to our founder’s main business body, an IT company. Tourism was fast developing in those days, destinations started being sought after, and resorts started coming up. Taking a long forecast about this industry and its possibilities in near future our MD Mr. RiyazU C, started with this project- a tour company. The search for an apt name ended up in "SPICELAND HOLIDAYS AND ENTERTAINMENTS(P)LTD", and the main aim was to ensure that once launched it willleave a striking note in everyone’s mind. With a mission in mind the stage was set and the company was born. ...

An IT person by profession everyone wondered, why such a move, but over the years it proved that the decision was in the right direction. Spiceland transformed from a two-man team to a 200 member plus team with the Corporate Office in Cochinand Branch Offices in all metro, two tier and three tier cities. The global presence of the company in addition to the domestic presence was expanded to Countries of the Middle East, Europe and United Kingdom.

An achievement with the management forecast diversification as well as the risk involvement. Fifteen years down the line the company evolved from a general format to a corporate format. The company created a system where the staff have their freedom and own style of working inaccordance with the company procedures.

Involvement of the management is limited to identifying destinations, hotels/resort and contracting with them. Negotiating for good rates with the above and the company started business with the B2B segment and the rates were of no match, where the corporate rates were more competitivewhen compared to the competitors. Having achieved these goals, the company started focusing into the inbound market. Theoutlook was for International presence and started participating in international eventsto have own presence felt that also struckgold. The inbound team in performing wellwith its own systematic approach. Achieving both inbound and domestic branches, the sharp mind started thinking of an expansion. The neighbouring country was a target and started off operations in Srilanka. The same was planned very well with a dedicated team, that after the second year of commencement of operation company started fixed departures to the island country, which was an instant success. The consecutive year too sawthese departures and is going on asexpected. Once well versed in packages to India and Sri Lanka, we had a new segment launch –The MICE Segment. After this The Company started catering to conferences of various corporate companies. This too turned out to be a remarkable feat in the company’s graph.

The Company is still in the process of expansion and wherever diversification ispossible, it will expand. And so goes the brand.

A one room office Saniya Plaza Kochi 35, in 2004 with a two men army the company was dedicated to the core, in producing tourism products to attain a name as a trustworthy agency.This strategy started workingand Spiceland Holidays started growing and the results were pouring in. The Company was accredited and approved by both Ministry of Tourism Govt. of India and Kerala.

Company got associated with various professional Tour Bodies like- PATA, KTM, IATO, ETAA, FICCI, ICPB, Indo American Chamber of Commerce.


Having found a name among Tour Operators and in the Tourism Industry, the company had a vision of having representation in all metro cities and it gave confidence for our vendors to rely on Spiceland.The Company gained trust from its clients and started growing by leapsand bounds. Started dealing with groups of different size and strength. To provide the best monetary benefit to its clients, the company startedpre purchasing of hotels and fleets. Under the CSR, the company Initiated Training programs for the Tour package drivers and the non-branded hotels staffs to develop their etiquettes and skills.


Expansion was inevitable and the Departments had to be segregated. Teams were formed area wise with a Team Leader in each Department and under the Team Leader a group of team mates.The teams were further classified into cities in each State. Having a strong foothold in Domestic segment, the company started off with Srilanka in the year 2014 at Upatisa Lane, Colombo,6. A team was set, and Operations into Srilanka gained momentum. In the year 2016 MICE department came into existence.

In the year 2017 the Company was rebranded with a new logo and brochure and the company moved into a multi-storeyed, with state of the art infrastructure. This became the Corporate Office of Company. Moved to a new office in Colombo in Beltona Lane,Colombo 4, as part of expansion.

2017 - Present

A maestro in Inbound and spread across various tour related segments the new concept - Destination Hub took shape.The final touches were given which was an alternate to the conventional outbound travel concepts., With virtual Tour experience facilities in association with top branded worldwide DMCs in 2017, the idea got momentum and this too started selling and fetched results because of its organised operations and skilled staff.

Successfully handled various National and International conferences – ISGCON, AMASICON, ICPB National Conclave and related medical conferences.
